Simple recipe for meat in dough: “Funtiki” from dough with meat filling

This is a great, hearty meat recipe. Cook this dish. Its taste and flavor will not leave you indifferent.

Ingredients:

Wheat flour – about 3 cups

Water – 1 cup

Salt – ½ teaspoon

Egg – 1 pc.

Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons

Stuffed meat – 200 g

Onion – 1-2 pcs.

Carrots – 1 pc.

Tomatoes – 2 pcs.

Garlic – 2-3 cloves

Broth – 1 cup

Sour cream – 1 tbsp.

Tomato paste – 1 tablespoon

Preparation:

  1. Sift the flour into a deep bowl. Make a well in the flour. Mix egg, salt and water at room temperature, gradually pour the liquid into the flour, stir. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, knead the dough. Cover the dough with foil and leave to proof for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Season the stuffing with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Roll out the dough thinly, cut circles with a mold or glass. Put stuffing from minced meat in the middle. Gather the edges of the dough to the middle, close the “pound cake” (like khinkali).
  4. Shred onions and carrots, chop tomatoes. Fry the vegetables in vegetable oil, salt and pepper. Place the roast in a deep baking dish.
  5. On top of the vegetables, place the poundcakes of dough with stuffing.
  6. Mix broth (meat or vegetable), sour cream, tomato paste, stir. Pour the resulting mixture into the baking mold (the dough pouches should be covered with liquid by 3/4).
  7. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees.
