Sauce from cornel has a rich taste and aroma. It goes well with meat and fish dishes. You can add fruits and spices to its composition.
Ingredients:
Cornel berries – 1 cup
Prunes – 5 pcs
Water – 1 tablespoon
Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
Honey – 1 teaspoon
Garlic – 2 cloves
Salt
Instructions:
- Remove the pips from the cornel berries.
- Put the cornel berries in a saucepan, pour in the water and olive oil. Put on the stove and bring to the boil.
- Add sliced prunes, lemon juice, honey and salt. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat.
- Add the grated garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour the sauce into a bowl and chop with a blender.
- The sauce goes well with meat, poultry, fish and vegetables.
