Galettes with Provencal herbs

Galettes are simple and flavorful cookies. Perfect for a light snack or tea time.

Ingredients:

Wheat flour – 1 cup

Bran breadcrumbs – 1 cup

Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons

Dry white wine – 1 tablespoon

Dried Provencal herbs – 1 tablespoon

Black pepper, ground paprika – to taste

Salt – ½ teaspoon

Sugar – ½ teaspoon

Sesame – 1 tablespoon

Preparation:

  1. Sift flour, add salt, sugar, spices, wine and butter.
  2. Knead a stiff dough, gradually adding breadcrumbs with bran.
  3. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm. Cut circles or squares from the dough.
  4. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, grease with butter.
  5. Place the biscuits on the baking sheet, prick with a fork, grease with vegetable oil on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  7. The biscuits can be served with cream soup and vegetable puree.
