Vatrushki (dough on opar)

Want an easy and quick recipe for scones for tea? Prepare vatrushki. This is a wonderful baked good.

Ingredients:

Milk – 250 ml

Sugar – 3 tbsp.

Vanillin – 1 teaspoon

Salt – 1 teaspoon

Dry yeast – 1 sachet (5 g)

Egg – 1 pc.

Flour – 450 g

Vegetable oil – 50 g

Cottage cheese – 200 g

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the opara. Heat half the milk, add 1 spoonful of sugar and the yeast. Stir, leave in a warm place for 15 minutes.
  2. Separate the egg white from the yolk. Beat the white. Add 1 spoon of sugar, salt, vanillin, the remaining milk, vegetable oil. Mix everything. Add opara (should increase in volume).
  3. Sift the flour. Gradually add the flour to the opara, knead the dough.
  4. Cover the dough with foil and leave it in a warm place for 35-40 minutes. The dough should double in volume.
  5. Prepare the filling. Knead the cottage cheese with a fork. Add 1 spoonful of sugar, mix.
  6. Divide the dough into equal parts 8-9, make balls, place on a tray greased with oil or covered with baking paper. Cover with a towel and leave for 5 minutes.
  7. Make a hole in each dough ball and fill with filling. Grease the patrushki with egg yolk (add a little milk or water to the yolk).
  8. Bake the watrushki in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes.
